Lady Hawks continues to soar...

MIDLOTHIAN - With the Lady Hawks senior guard Jamie Nelson in street clothes, recovering from a severe ankle sprain, the team looked to other players to step. Not only did the team step forward for runaway victory on the evening, 75 - 32, but every player played a major role.

Ms. Juanita Robinson had the hot hand and in the first half, she scored 17 of her 21 points to give the Lady Hawks an early 46 - 15 lead. "I wasn't looking at the scoreboard," said the 5'11" sophomore. "I was doing my job."

On the other side of the ball, the Lady Hawks defensive presences was felt causing several key turnovers early and often through out the game resulting from them making several runs... 7-0, 9-2, and 8-2 to increase their lead. At the end of the third quarter, they had a 33 point lead in the game.

The Lady Eagles were short-handed on the evening competing with just seven players dressed and ready to play. Senior Leah Avery had the hot hand and top scorer.

Hillcrest will face the winner of the Bremen - Mount Assisi game on Thursday evening at Bremen high school.
