As Fall weather blanketed the Chicagoland area, Week 3 began separating teams with BIG wins and putting a bigger target on the backs of others. And for several, we were there....

GAMES OF THE WEEK

Simeon 12, Crete-Monee 14

This was AmateurSports365.com's High School game of the week and it was well-worth it, as 2012 Class 6A Champions survived the visiting Wolverines 14-12 win.

Simeon (0-3) had many chances to steal a victory against the Warriors including a 30-yard field goal attempt with 10 seconds left to play by Raekwon Adams, who kicked it wide-right.

Carmel 41, Marian Catholic 7

Can undefeated Marian Catholic defeat Carmel?  Unfortunately no, as the Spartans come up short against the visiting Carmel (1-2) team 41-7.

Nazareth 37, Marist 45

What an offensive shootout in high school football this contest was as Marist (2-1, 1-0) hung on for a nice win in the ECC.
