After over 12 weeks of basketball, it all came down to the elite Eight in Class 3A and 4A girls basketball. From here, the Final Four was decided and four teams from each class is headed to Normal, IL to play for the 2011 State championship.

Royall life cut short by a senseless act
Ryan Royall, of Hillcrest High School, journey to college was cut short when he was attending a party at Ho-Chuck Sports and Expo center.
He hoped to earn a college scholarship so his mother would not have to worry about money and college scouts were already taking notice with his play in high school as well as with his 16U AAU team.

Matt Ryndak, the embattled Crete-Monee High
School boys varsity basketball, was fired
Tuesday night by the school board, according
to a published report. Ryndak, also a
physical education teacher at the school,
was placed on administrative leave in May
and charged May 25 in Will County with
aggravated criminal sexual abuse for
allegedly molesting a teen on four occasions
last fall. He was released on bond. For more
