Will-Cook Week 5 recap

Jet's soar during their Homecoming festivities...

Both, Jets and Cougars, widget teams' should feel good about their efforts on the afternoon.  Both teams opened up their playbooks and wowed the fans with explosive up and down the field runs.

The end result from a double reverse flip-back pass... In a word, WOW!!!

Due to penalties, the widget Cougars came up short in overtime - final score 25-19.


South Holland Jets Pee-Wee division team continue their winning ways during week 5 as they took on the Cougars of Country Club Hills.

Behind the quick feet of #26 and the dominance of the twin towers went on to win 38-7 and remained undefeated.

The Cougars got on the board in the second quarter by a kickoff by #84 a. He also made a successfully extra point with a high pass in the endzone.

Jets responded quickly with a long run by #10 then concluded with the swift feet of #7 for a TD @ 2:45 in 2nd. They also scored again right before the half with a scampered down the field for over 50yds by #26.

Cross-town Classic

In the Junior Varsity game, it was a hard-hitting game from both sides of the ball. The first score came late in the fourth quarter with 1:10 left in the contest. Final Score: 7-0

 

In the final game, the Matteson Bears brought out all of the tricks including special guest Rich Central Marching Band who performed a number of songs including two from Michael Jackson. The rocked the crowd in the light rain leaving everyone in attendance fired-up for the finale - V-A-R-S-I-T-Y!!!

The Bears used the pre-game electricity from the band to strike first. Shortly thereafter, they scored again taking an early lead of 13 - 0 at the half.

The game was called early in the third quarter due to precautionary concerns of lightning in the area. Date to complete this game us TBD.
