AP - McDonald's announced that the 2011 McDonald's All-American games will take place at the United Center on March 30. It's the first time the games have been played in Chicago since 1982.

The girls game will be broadcast on ESPNU and the boys game on ESPN.

"Chicago is blessed with basketball talent and fans alike and we hope to repeat the success and enthusiasm that surrounded the 1982 McDonald's Game in Chicago to benefit RMHC," McDonald's spokesman Tara Hayes said in a statement.

There are several candidates in the state to make the team's roster. Morgan Park's Wayne Blackshear and Perspectives-MSA's Anthony Davis are favorites to make the team.

Young's Sam Thompson, Rock Island's Chasson Randle, De La Salle's Michael Shaw, Mount Carmel's Tracy Abrams, East Aurora's Ryan Boatright, St. Ignatius' Nnanna Egwu and Orr's Mycheal Henry also have a chance to make the roster.

Bolingbrook's Ariel Massengale, who committed this week to Tennessee, is a likely pick for the girls team.
