The 2012 McDonald's All-American games will again be held in Chicago, but it might be a long-shot for a strong representation from Illinois at the event.

Only one boys basketball player -- Simeon's Steve Taylor -- and just nine girls players made the list of nominees to be possibly selected for the honor.

The nine girls from Illinois are:

Dominque Brooks, T.F. South
Kiela Garner, Rich South
Alexis Hahn, Lake Park
Alexis Lloyd, Whitney Young
Jewell Loyd, Niles West
Maggie Lyon, New Trier
Ashley Santos, Geneva
Janee Thompson, Whitney Young
Morgan Tuck, Bolingbrook

Iowa led the nominations with a combined 77 players on the full list.
