In there very first game, pre-season competition, the Matteson Bears played host to the Indiana Hessville Vipers at the new field.

In the PeeWee game...

We (coaches) were very please with the offensive and the defensive lines.

On offense, the line (the horses) were able to dominate the line of scrimmage and allow the running game to flourish. We had two good runs by Raymond Bryant, which resulted into touchdowns and a strong performance by Lawrence Whiter at the quarterback position, who also had a touchdown run.

Kaevon Givhan and Myles Baker both were strong on the defense and made great tackles, which resulted in negative yardages for the Vipers offense. All the kids are engage and are eager to commit to strong work effort in practice, which I think will allow for a good season.

FINAL SCORE: 21 - 7 Bears PeeWee
