RICHTON PARK - The Raiders hosted the Bears Saturday afternoon in which varsity would be featured under the lights. These two teams mark one of the oldest rivalries in the Will-Cook league.  On top of that, Richton Park pulled out their customized entrance balloon.

Richton Park jumped out early obtaining the first victory of the day at the widget level by shutting out the Bears 19-0. The Raiders'  PeeWee kept the winning going knocking of the Bears 13-6.

The contest was junior varsity... the Bears got on the board first with a 29 yard pass for a touchdown in the first quarter (extra pt failed) making the score 6-0.

The Raiders responded on their next possession with a 64 yard touchdown run by Jordan Boyd. His score tied the score at 6 (extra point failed).

Both team battle back and forth up and down the field before the Bears found some daylight and burst through it with a 64 yard sprint for another score. This made the game 12-6 (extra point was no good).

On the kickoff, the Raiders Jeremiah Banks scrambled down the field for 65 yards and the score tying the game again at 12 (extra point failed). Whew...

Coming down the stretch, the Matteson Bears' determination proved to help them in this contest as they scored the final two touchdowns  including a 28 yard touchdown pass bringing the final score Matteson 24 - 12.
