Thornton thumps Thornridge

- In a SICA East clash, turnovers hurt Thornridge early and often on this
homecoming afternoon. At the end of the first quarter, the Wildcats
led 22 - 0.
Darren Jones threw a touchdown pass as
well as ran for one on the afternoon as well.
At halftime, the Wildcats led 44 -
0... putting a huge damper on the halftime festivities of homecoming.
On a sad note, Thornridge player,
Derrick Wilborn, who is asthmatic, was struck in the chest on a play in the
fourth quarter was taken to a local hospital. No word at this time of the
seriousness of his injury.
