Rich Central win in overtime. . .

Olympia Fields - Rich Central Olympians get their first victory of the season not only against Bloom Township, 26 - 20 OT, but also against Mother Nature, and Amateur Sports News Network was there.  

Despite the rain and the mud on the field, Bloom struck first when DeAngelo Blatcher ran two yards and a touchdown in the first quarter. Extra point failed (6 - 0).

Rich Central got on the board in the second quarter when their  running back sprinted 18 yards for a touchdown run with 3:55 left in second quarter.  Extra point failed (6 - 6).

Later in the quarter, Bloom had an errand punt which the referee said they touched it inadvertently and recovered by the Olympians.

Gioegio Bowers (34) scampered for a long touchdown run. Extra point successful (14 - 6).  Bowers carried the load for the Olympians especially after fumbling the ball late in the fourth quarter. Bowers finished the game with 112 yards and 2 touchdowns including the game-winner. "I was able to redeem myself" said Bowers in overtime victory.

Final Score: Rich Central 26 Bloom 20
