Caravan too much for Vikings

Flossmoor - Going into this game was pivotal moment for Homewood-Flossmoor even though this is a non-conference game... if they win, they not only have bragging rights but they also position themselves in a much stronger position for an at-large bid for the playoffs.

Also, in this game was the battle of family - Mount Carmel lineman Anthony Battle went up against his two cousins Erik and Jordan Taylor. It was being reported earlier in the day that this was the first time they played against each other.

On the opening drive, Mount Carmel quarterback Jordan Lynch connected on a long, touchdown pass one of his favorite targets K.J. Picard. From this, they never looked back.

They continued to score on the next four possession. Lynch finished the night with three  touchdowns, two passing and one rushing.

On the other side of the ball, they frustrated the Vikings all night and calculated eight sacks and two interceptions. The Vikings finished the game with 42 total yards of offense and three first downs.
