St. Rita wins conference title

Chicago - This game was considered a good neighborhood rival  especially considering both teams are 6-1, 2-1... Thus, this game turned into a colossal clash for the Catholic Blue title.  Going into this game, Brother Rice had its hands full trying to stop St. Rita's sophomore phenom running back  Johwon Akui, who ran for over 225 yards and two touchdowns last week and tonight, he picked up where he left off rushing for over 100 yards and a touchdown.

The Crusaders scored first, marching down the field for a short touchdown run by Frank Renardo.

One of the key plays came from an unsuspecting source, two-way play Dan Dispensa who intercepted a pass in the second quarter and ran it back for a touchdown to seal the victor.

Rice was able to score again, in the fourth quarter, with a 30 yard plus field goal.
