NFL Reflections....

Man, where did the time go... we only have one game left in the NFL season... and as every one does this time of the year... it's time for reflection... This commentary is sponsored in part by Hasbro, EASports, and various board game manufacturers...

As I look back over the season, we all know every team looked at the season as if it was TRIVIAL PURSUIT and those teams would be in TROUBLE right off the top. While other teams took the RISK and rose to PERFECTION.

To kick the season off, the NY Jets were featured on Hard Knocks and several former coaches got a lil' bent with Coach Ryan who used words like BALDERDASH on TV but we all know Ryan is NOT going to let anyone control his LIFE.

As a BIG fan of football, I recognize that the football field is every teams BATTLESHIP and they take this game SERIOUS. Shoot, this ain't no CANDYLAND or stack of CARDS... this game is as serious as a round of BID WHIST in a smoke filled basement while Bobby Blue Bland is playing...

During training came, many teams put in some special plays such as CHUTES & LADDER, but in the NFL, plays like that was the DOWNFALL of many coaches and they were definitely SORRY for their actions and wish they could use a CRYSTALL BALL to turn back the hands of time. For some teams and coaches it just seemed as if they were playing CHECKERS while everyone else was playing CHESS.

This season, even Mother Nature got involved providing many teams TWISTERs and put a couple of games in SOLITAIRE.

During the season, fans came to the conclusion that the commissioner seems to run the league like a MONOPOLOGY and somewhat CLUE-less. It seemed as if he wanted players to play TAG instead of tackle FOOTBALL. He also fined many players and not UNO many!!! He COLLECTED more than $200 without them PASSING GO. When he met with players it felt like DUNGEONS & DRAGONS.

Overall, he wanted to prevent players from having multiple OPERATIONS and RISK from going to the DOCTOR.

In addition to the commissioner, all season it felt like know matter what Brett Farve did it was TABOO to talk about him... but NOT Mike Vick & BIG Ben... their lives were put in front of everyone on a PICTIONARY, but it felt like CHARADES. Every time he (Vick) wanted to do something he had to say 'CAPTAIN MAY I...'

Back to the BATTLESHIP, in playoffs, even the great Patriots and their MASTERMIND coach Belicheck couldn't figure out the SCRABBLE board on the J-E-T-S and were sent home early.

In the end, GUESS WHO will be playing in the final game? Cheese & the Steel. They are going to play in front of record-breaking numbers on Jerry' 60 yard SCENE IT screen in search of becoming LORD OF THE RINGS 2011.

And after the Superbowl, the TYCOONS will negotiate hard with the players and put on an unified POKER face trying to keep the players from spinning the WHEEL OF FORTUNE until the PRICE IS RIGHT. The owners will probably try to divide the players and create a FAMILY FEUD.

And I guess if the owners get what they want they will scream YAHTZEE, but I'm certain the players will stand up proud and smash the table while yelling DOMINOS fool!!To print a copy of this article click here!
